Our
materials
Every part we sell is made in one of three materials: carbon fiber (267 parts), Kevlar carbon (58) or fiberglass (38). Here is what each one is and when to choose it.

Carbon fiber parts
Our carbon fiber parts are made with 2x2 twill, 3K, 5.7 oz carbon fiber cloth, AS4 aerospace grade rated at 644 ksi. Each part is laid by hand in Chula Vista, California, then clear-coated for UV protection and a long-lasting shine.

Kevlar carbon parts
Kevlar carbon parts mix carbon fiber with coloured aramid (Kevlar) fiber, so the weave shows red, yellow or blue between the black. We make them by pre-order only: order the part, email your colour choice with your year and model, and we lay it up for you.

Fiberglass parts
Fiberglass parts give you the same shape as our carbon pieces for less money. They come in white or black gelcoat for a smooth finish, and every fiberglass part is paintable, so you can match your car's colour.

Carbon fiber vs Kevlar
Carbon fiber and Kevlar are both very strong, in different ways. Carbon fiber is lighter, unaffected by high temperatures and can flex to absorb impact, which suits body panels. Kevlar is extremely rigid and resists piercing, but buckles quickly once its structure is compromised and can be weakened by heat.
